Bund traffic tunnel digging

THE two sections of the under-construction Bund traffic tunnel are scheduled to be connected this weekend with a tunneling machine finishing the last stage of digging, Shanghai Construction Group said yesterday.
The main structure of the tunnel is scheduled to complete before the year end. The multi-level vehicle tunnel will open for traffic before 2010 World Expo next May.
