Bus runs over and kills student in Pudong

A student was killed by a bus on Shangnan Road in the Pudong New Area while on his way home from school yesterday evening, news website Xinmin.cn reported.
A witness was cited as saying the 10-year-old boy was riding a bicycle when the bus hit and ran over him, crushing his head.
The accident occurred at about 6pm, the report said.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and police officers, the report said.
Nearby residents told the website that shuttle buses often drive too fast in the area.
Police are still investigating the accident, the report said.
