Buses sent to transport stranded metro passengers
BAOSHAN District's public transportation authority dispatched 30 buses to help passengers that were stranded for 40 minutes after a Line 3 subway broke down at Shanghai Railway Station this morning.
The breakdown occurred between Shanghai Railway Station and Baoshan Road Station at 6:51am, causing delays for passengers on lines 3 and 4. Line 1 also stops at the railway station, according to Jiefang Daily report.
The public transportation authority sent 30 buses to the north square of the station within 20 minutes to transport the passengers.
The metro line resumed operation at 7:30am.
