Car-bus crash kills 3, injures 1 in Pudong

THREE people died and one was injured in a car-bus collision early this morning in the city's Pudong New Area.
The car driver surnamed Zhang was injured in the head and is being treated in the hospital, according to a local TV report.
The accident happened about 4am at the intersection of Laiyang Road and Dongbo Road when the car first hit the front of a bus, then swerved and rammed into a roadside tree, a witness said.
Two people sitting on the back seats died on the spot and a man sitting next to the driver was pronounced dead later in the hospital.
Local police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
The four people in the car were believed to be on their way home after a party for the Chinese "Single Day" yesterday, the TV report said.
