Cheaper fuel

Motorists can expect cheaper pump prices in Shanghai from today as the government adjusted rates amid lower crude prices in the global markets. The ceiling retail price for 92-octane gasoline is now 7.61 yuan (US$1.26) per liter from 7.72 yuan while 95-octane is priced at 8.10 yuan from 8.21 yuan. Zero-grade now sells for 7.53 yuan maximum versus 7.63 yuan before, according to the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission.
