Check in at Hongqiao, fly from Pudong

PASSENGERS from other provinces can now take a high-speed train to Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport and check in at Counter 2 and 3 in H section for their onward flights from Pudong – allowing them more time to tour the city.
The service is offered to passengers with international flights, run by two airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines, which depart after 1pm from Pudong.
The system has been on trial since late April but only 425 passengers had used the service by the end of June, the airport operator said.
However, it might prove more popular since the high-speed bullet train line opened on July 1 between Shanghai and Nanjing.
