China Eastern offers free airport shuttles
CHINA Eastern Airlines will run free buses to collect passengers from neighboring cities in the Yangtze River Delta to Shanghai airports, it said today.
Shanghai-based China Eastern said it will add another 25 short flights to connect Shanghai with other mainland cities when it reopens routes to London and Moscow after taking over Shanghai Airlines.
"The merger makes our network complete and sophisticated, thus we can provide more services to help build Pudong International Airport into an international air hub," said Ma Xunlun, general manager of China Eastern.
The takeover increases China Eastern's market share in Shanghai to more than 50 percent from the previous 32 percent. The two carriers have begun widespread cooperation on rearranging capacity and routes.
