City Metro suffers 2 breakdowns in morning rush

COMMUTERS on Metro Line 11 were delayed this morning after a mechanical breakdown happened at its Jiangsu Road Station at 8:30 am.
Riders were forced to get off trains running between Zhenru Station and Jiangsu Road Station. Authorities have provided free shuffle buses to send the delayed passengers to Songhong Road Station so that they can transfer to buses or taxis.
Meanwhile, the operation of Metro Line 2, which has suffered a lengthy breakdown since 6:15am, has backed to normal at 8:18 am after a technical problem at Hongqiao Railway Station was fixed.
