City braces for more scorching-hot weather

THE scorching-hot weather will return today, forecasters said, but strong winds from the sea mean the air quality will be excellent through tomorrow.
A subtropical high, which is moving west and gathering strength, will push the high back up to 35 degrees Celsius for a week, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said, adding that there will be occasional afternoon showers.
