Shanghai’s air, water and land traffic was disrupted this morning after a heavy fog shrouded the city. Visibility improved later in the morning and the city’s weather authority removed the heavy fog alert at around 10am.
Meanwhile, the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center reported the local air quality index was 152 at 10am, indicating “moderate pollution”. The PM2.5 density was 126 micrograms per cubic meter by then.
The center also forecast the haze is likely to ease.
