City forecasters expect a white Christmas

SHANGHAI may experience a rare white Christmas this year as weather forecasters said it will likely snow on Friday and Saturday.
Another cold snap is on the way. The temperature will dip beginning on Thursday night, bringing sleet and snow to the city, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said today.
The temperature is forecast to plunge to a low of 3 degrees Celsius on Friday and the mercury will drop gradually over the weekend to minus 1 degree on Sunday morning.
The snow may accumulate as the low will drop to zero degree on Saturday, the bureau said.
