City set to have warm and stable weekend

A WARM and stable weather is forecasted for next few days with the mercury expected to climb to 26 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

The temperature was on the rise yesterday. The weather, mostly sunny and cloudy, should get warmer during the weekend, reaching a high of 26 degrees Celsius, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.

"Shanghai is mainly under the control of an anticyclone and should enjoy good weather most of the time," said Zhang Ruiyi, a chief service officer at the bureau. "The temperature should go a notch up and the warm spring is likely to stay."

The low in the morning should be above 10 degrees, getting warmer by the day and climbing above 20 degrees.

Today is expected to be sunny and cloudy with the mercury hovering between a low of 10 and a high of 22. It will be warmer tomorrow, weathermen said.
