Cloudy weather predicted, but mercury to rise
SHANGHAI'S temperatures should climb a little this week, with the high reaching 33 degrees Celsius today.
The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said the weather this week should be mainly cloudy and temperature should rise by 1 or 2 degrees as showers ease today and tomorrow.
The high should be around 33 degrees though temperatures will feel hotter during sunny spells.
But the possibility of high-temperature days, when the high hits 35 degrees Celsius, is low as the city is likely to feel the effect of east and northeast wind, said forecasters.
Tomorrow should be cloudy and overcast and the readings should range from a low of 26 to a high of 32.
Showers and thunder showers should appear in the later half of the week, according to the bureau.
Meanwhile, the No.6 tropical storm Ma-on is too far away and too weak to influence the city weather this week, forecasters said.
