Cloudy week ahead for Shanghai

SHANGHAI can expect cloudy weather with some drizzles this week in contrast to last week when the sky was sunny and clear, the city's weather authority said.

With the passing of a recent cold front, temperatures bounced back over the weekend, touching a high of 26 degrees Celsius today, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Due to the warm and wet air from the southwest, the city should have some drizzles tonight and the mercury tomorrow should stay at the same level.

The weather this week should be mostly cloudy and overcast with drizzles, the bureau predicted.

Readings should be stable from tomorrow with a high of around 23 degrees and a low of between 16 and 19 degrees, the bureau said.
