Cold front coming with freezing winds

TEMPERATURES are expected to drop by six to eight degrees in 48 hours starting tonight as another cold snap approaches, Shanghai weather bureau said today.

Tomorrow morning the mercury will fall to zero and drop further to minus 3 degrees Celsius on Friday morning, according to the forecast by the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

However, the weather will be mostly sunny and cloudy in the next few days. The cold front is accompanied by gale of up to 74 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 102 kilometer per hour along the coast.

As no warm and wet air masses are coming, the air will be dry in the following days, the bureau warned.

Tomorrow will be sunny to cloudy with a low of zero point and a high of 5 degrees Celsius. Friday is also sunny to cloudy but the temperatures will be lower, between minus 3 degrees and 2 degrees, the bureau said.
