Cool, rain to follow warmer day
SHANGHAI should warm up today with a high of 19 degrees Celsius, but then cool down some tomorrow with a high of 12 degrees as another cold front and more rain arrive, forecasters said.
The weather seesaw will rise quickly with today's low of 8 degrees giving way to a high of 19 that's expected to arrive around noon. But the warmth will be brief, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau. Today's weather is expected to be mostly cloudy with showers at night. A light haze is forecast today, which may affect the air quality. Tomorrow should be overcast with showers and a low of 8 degrees Celsius. Sunday is to be cloudy, with a low of 8 degrees and a high of 12 degrees.
"Rainy days should be frequent in the next five days," said Fu Yi, a chief service officer of the bureau.
Shanghai's peach blossom season started on Tuesday with the recent warm weather, 12 days earlier than last year, according to the bureau's officials.
