Costa Fortuna becomes 9th cruise ship to make Wusong terminal home port

The Costa Fortuna makes the Wusong International Cruise Ship Terminal its home port today after 23-day journey from Dubai to Shanghai, bringing the number of cruise ships calling the city home port to nine.
The luxury ship featuring Rex 1932 Theater that can accommodate 1,388 audience, Da Vinci 1960 Salon and Colombo 1954 Buffer Restaurant pays tribute to the Renaissance and European cruise history.
It has a capacity of 3,470 people and its stops include Jeju Island, Fukuoka, Busan, Okinawa and Kagoshima. It will travel through November.
Costa will have its fifth cruise ship in China market, Costa neoRomantica, arrive in Shanghai next year.
Last year, international cruise ships made 688 voyages via Shanghai port, up 26.9 percent from a year earlier. Shanghai is the eighth largest cruise home port in the world.
It is expected the Wusong port will receive 2.8 million passengers both at home and abroad this year.
