THE volcanic ash cloud continued to ground flights to European cities yesterday from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the city's main international flights hub.
With many of Europe's major airports still closed, 40 flights from the city were cancelled, mostly heading for London, Frankfurt, Paris and Helsinki.
On Friday, 44 flights to those cities were cancelled.
The airport operator asked travellers to check flight information in advance as they awaited air service resumption.
