Dry days ... until Wednesday

DRY weather is forecast for today after recent wet days, but the respite will be short as showers are set to return on Wednesday, forecasters said yesterday.

Temperatures should remain stable, with the high between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Both today and tomorrow are predicted to be overcast.

But on Wednesday, under the influence of the plum rain belt, wet weather is set to return, said Kong Chunyan, a chief service officer of the bureau.

The good news is that the temperature will still be comfortable, she added.

Wednesday is forecast to be overcast with showers, with the temperature between 22 degrees and 25 degrees.

Thursday and Friday are set to be overcast with showers, with temperatures similar to Wednesday.

The city entered the annual plum rain season last Friday, heralding frequent deluges and often humid weather.
