Elevated road collapses

A worker died this morning after part of an elevated road, which is under construction, collapsed in the city's Baoshan District.
No other injuries were reported.
The concrete side barrier, about 50m long, fell at around 6am, crashing onto a factory workshop and blocking the road beneath.
The construction worker was believed to be under the elevated road when the accident happened, a witness said.
No vehicles or pedestrians were hit by the falling section of the road, authorities said.
Part of the highway at Hutai Road was closed after the accident and traffic police were redirecting vehicles.
The emergency workers were still trying to remove the fallen part of the road at 11am.
