Expo taxi booking service runs to an end

HOTLINE service for booking a roomy Expo-logo cab will terminate next Tuesday, Shanghai transport authority said.
The 96822 taxi hotline run by the city's leading taxi company Dazhong will no longer accept reservation calls for the Expo-logo cabs which were put into service for the six-month Expo.
The 3,650 Volkswagen Touran hatchback cars, sporting Expo logo and pavilion images, belong to different taxi companies. After the Expo ended, these companies will take over the management of these cars, thus making the Expo taxi hotline inviable.
