Ferris wheel to spin over Suzhou Creek
A Ferris wheel, about 42 meters high, will start rotating next month on the bank of the Suzhou Creek in the city's Zhabei District.
People will be able to take an exhilerating ride in cars mounted on the rim of the rotating wheel when it opens to the public on December 18, ahead of Christmas holiday.
The Ferris wheel, standing at the intersection of Xizang Road and Qufu Road belongs to a new shopping center right next to it. All rides will be free for people, however, the wheel will be dismantled three or four months later.
The Ferris wheel will be a new experience for locals after the plan to erect a 200-meter-high wheel in the north of the Bund was dropped years ago.
