Finally! A little relief from the heat
THE summer heat is finally showing signs of abating as the maximum temperature will hover around 30 degrees Celsius this week, forecasters said.
The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said intermittent showers will continue today through Wednesday.
Temperatures today and tomorrow should range from 25 to 29 degrees, the bureau added.
Yesterday's rain brought the temperature down to 26.6 degrees, the lowest since July.
The amount of rainfall varied across the city with Pudong New Area recording 30 millimeters while Jinshan District only received 0.4mm.
The rain will end on Thursday, but it will be cloudy and the mercury will rise above 30 degrees, the bureau said.
