Fine payment trial

NON-RESIDENT drivers will be able to pay traffic fines issued by Shanghai Police in their hometowns under a trial scheme being launched tomorrow, say officials. Violators can pay their fines at any branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, or by using the bank’s other payment facilities. Previously, only those detected by digital cameras could pay fines outside Shanghai.
