First peach tasting festival blossoms in Shanghai

SHANGHAI'S first Peach Tasting Festival was launched in Pudong New Area today as a complement to the traditional Peach Flower Festival, which has a two-decade history in the city.
Tourists will be able to feast on the juicy fruit they pick in rural gardens, which welcomed visitors to see the blossoms in March.
The festival also includes a visit to the 10 giant pandas on loan to the city for the World Expo at the Shanghai Wildlife Park in Pudong.
Local specialties and operas will be available during the festival, which runs until August 20.
