Fog cancels 38 flights, delays 18

Thirty-eight flights have been canceled and 18 are being delayed due to the fog over the city's two airports by 10am this morning, xinmin.cn reported.
The fog, though not dense, reduced visibility and caused the delay and cancellation of 56 domestic flights to cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, Tianjing, Shenyang and Kunming.
The visibility was only 700 meters at Shanghai's Hongqiao International Airport and 2,200 meters at the Pudong International Airport by 8am this morning.
Airlines reminded passengers to contact them or the airports to check for schedule changes before going to the airports.
