Forecast: Wet today, dry tomorrow
THE gloomy rainy weather should stop tomorrow but is forecast to come back again on Sunday and Monday, weatherman said yesterday.
Temperatures are expected to rise a little in coming days, ranging daily from lows of 20 degrees Celsius to highs of 27, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
The intermittent rain cooled the city yesterday and also delayed the beginning of meteorological summer, making this year's summer the slowest-arriving in a decade, according to the bureau.
But the bureau said the city might still get extremely hot weather this month.
"So far it's still too far for us to forecast, but the temperature could get high if the wind changed," said Fu Yi, a chief service official.
The bureau had said earlier there would be one or two days this month over 35 degrees, according to the long term forecast.
Today's forecast: Rain with temperatures from 20 degrees low to 24 high.
