Free cabbie checkups

Some 10,000 Shanghai cabbies are to get free orthopedic checks this year under the Back Up Movement initiative, sponsored by public welfare organizations.
If they need follow-up treatment, this is available at a discount rate.
A recent survey of 1,000 cabbies by medical departments found that more than 70 percent suffer from back, shoulder and neck pain.
Shanghai has more than 100,000 taxi drivers.
