Freezing front on way out

THE cold front that has chilled the nation in recent days will end soon, the Central Meteorological Station said yesterday.
While freezing winds helped reduce smog in central and eastern China, they also led to 14 cities, including Beijing and Harbin, yesterday reporting their coldest days in the second half of the year, according to the station.
