Fuel prices raised in city
SHANGHAI will raise fuel prices from today to reflect higher crude oil costs. The hike marked the end of 13 consecutive trims since July 22, 2014.
The ceiling price for 92-octane gasoline will rise to 5.97 yuan (US$0.97) per liter from 5.74 yuan, while 95-octane gasoline will now coast 6.36 yuan from the previous 6.11 yuan. The price of zero-grade diesel has been raised to 5.59 yuan per liter from 5.34 yuan. Nationwide, the retail prices of the benchmark 90-octane gasoline was raised 0.21 yuan per liter and diesel prices went up 0.24 yuan per liter, or 290 yuan and 280 yuan per ton respectively, according to the National Development and Reform Commission, the top economic planning agency.
