Happy bus stops take a toll
PASSENGERS can vote for the "happiest bus stop" in Shanghai in the city's new interactive bus stop shelters which began appearing on the streets today.
The first shelters have been installed in Nanjing Road, Zhongshan Park in Puxi and Zhangyang Road in Pudong, Xinmin Evening News reported today.
Passengers who want to vote touch a "smiley face" or "sour face" on a screen and their vote will be added to an "emotional index."
The counting of the "emotional index" will start tomorrow and run until May 28, the Dragon Boat Festival. The cities of Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming and Xi'an will have similar indexes.
At the end of the month the "happiest bus stop" in Shanghai and the "happiest city in China" will be named.
