High by end of week hits 22 degrees
WARM days will return this week with the mercury climbing to a high of 22 degrees Celsius, the city's weather forecasters said yesterday.
Most of the days during the week should be partly cloudy, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
The temperature will range between 4 and 16 degrees today, and it is expected to rise further to 8 to 20 degrees on Wednesday. On Thursday, it should be overcast to cloudy.
The maximum temperature is forecast to climb to 22 degrees on Friday, but meteorologists reminded people to be careful about the temperature gap between day and night to avoid getting cold.
The average temperature between December and February in the city was 6.2 degrees, slightly above that recorded in the same period in 2011 and 2012, forecasters said.
