Highway car crash kills 3, injures 1

THREE people were killed and another injured in a car crash on the S32 Expressway yesterday morning in Songjiang District, police said.
The four victims were in a sedan driving east on the S32, an expressway linking Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Zhejiang Province, when the accident happened about 11:30am, Songjiang police said.
The injured person, surnamed Cai, was driving the sedan and was in stable condition last night.
Officers said the road was wet when Cai lost control of the car near the overpass of the G15 Shenhai Expressway. The sedan first hit the guardrail on the car's right and then crashed into a construction vehicle.
Police said all four victims were trapped in the car after the crash. The victims surnamed Xiao, Cao and Zhou were pronounced dead after they were removed from the vehicle, police said.
The cause of the accident was unclear and officers were still investigating yesterday.
