Hot, rainy days ahead
HUMID and hot days are forecast for the coming week.
Today will be cloudy, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms. The mercury could reach 33 degrees, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Tomorrow will bring a break from the rain, and a high temperature of 36 degrees. The high will hover around 35 degrees on Wednesday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon.
Along with rising temperatures, residents should brace for light to moderate ozone pollution tomorrow and Wednesday, according to the city’s environmental monitoring center.
The heat will subside on Thursday and Friday, when highs of 31 and 32 degrees are predicted.
