It will be a wet weekend

SHOWERS should be a frequent occurrence over the next few days as both warm and cold air currents become active, meteorologists predicted yesterday.

Under the influence of the cold front and the resulting showers, the mercury should slowly drop in the next five days, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Today is forecast to be mostly cloudy with showers in parts of the city; the temperature will reach 30 degrees Celsius at its highest. Tomorrow should be cloudy with thundershowers in the afternoon but with the high dropping to 28 degrees.

The minimum temperature should be stable between 23 to 25 degrees over the next few days, the bureau said.
