It鈥檚 getting hot in the city
A period of high pressure should ensure the weather remains warm and dry today and tomorrow, but the mercury is likely to slide slightly as the rains arrive on Friday and Saturday, forecasters said yesterday.
Today will see a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 23 degrees Celsius, while the fair weather will continue tomorrow when the mercury rises to 24 degrees.
Increased cloud, produced by northbound moisture and an east-moving rain belt, will trigger overnight showers to cool the city on Friday and Saturday, when the high temperatures will be about 19 or 20 degrees.
The skies should clear on Sunday though temperatures are not expected to rise above 20 degrees.
The lows for this week are likely to fluctuate between 14 and 16 degrees, said the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
