Light snow sprinkles Shanghai
SHANGHAI had its first snow in this year during a cold front from the north but it will not settle, weathermen said.
Light snow and sleet fell about 8am in suburbs of Chongming County, Pudong New Area and Jinshan District and later spread across the city, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau this afternoon.
As the snowfall wasn't large, it was unlikely to settle and sleet should cease this evening, said Li Jinyu, chief service officer.
"There could be some ice on the streets at night as the temperature should drop, which might cause some trouble to traffic," Li reminded.
Tomorrow morning will be zero degrees Celsius, with a high of four degrees. Wednesday is forecast to be colder, with a minimum of -2C and a maximum of 5C.
