Line 14 rolls on

The planned Metro Line 14 yesterday began a second round of environmental evaluation. Once the assessment is completed, bidding for the construction contract will begin. The 39.1-kilometer east-west line will link Jiading District’s Fengbang Town to Jinqiao in the Pudong New Area. The line will run through Jiading, Putuo, Jing’an, Huangpu and Pudong, have 31 stations and be served by trains with eight carriages. Construction of the line is expected to take more than six years.
