Line 16 conducts trial run

Shanghai residents take a ride on Metro Line 16, which started trial runs from Thursday in preparation for going into service next month in the Pudong New Area. The trip from Luoshan Road Station to Dishui Lake Station covers 11 stops and takes 45 minutes. The line will eventually be extended to more stops. The carriages on Line 16 have seats (inset) like those found on buses.
