Line 22 to kick off

SHANGHAI'S Metro Line 22, known as the Jinshan Railway Line, which will stretch from Shanghai South Railway Station to Jinshan New Town at the city's south end, is expected to open to traffic by June.

The line will provide a Metro link to suburban Jinshan, a gateway to neighboring Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou Bay. The nine-stop Jinshan route will take passengers downtown in 30 minutes. They will be able to transfer to Line 1 at Xinzhuang Station and Shanghai South Railway Station.
