Line 9 to Chongming

THE city’s Metro operator said it is planning to extend Line 9 northward to Chongming Island. Shao Weizhong, president of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group, said the proposal is awaiting government approval, so a start date has yet to be set. Line 9 has 26 stations and runs from Songjiang South Railway Station to Yanggao Road M. in the Pudong New Area.
