SHANGHAI Botanical Garden
1111 Longwu Road, Xuhui District
The Shanghai Flower Exhibition, which opened at the garden yesterday, includes 3,000 types of flower. Visitors will be able to see the national trees or flowers of the countries taking part in the Shanghai World Expo.
Gongqing Forest Park
2000 Jungong Road, Yangpu District
More than 200,000 tulips will cover the fields and run along the creeks at the Gongqing Forest Park. Three-dimensional flower arrangements, in the shape of Expo pavilions, will be on show until June.
Guyi Garden
218 Guyi Road, Nanxiang Town, Jiading District
Peonies will be the major drawing cards for the 480-year-old Guyi Garden during the flower exhibition that opened yesterday and runs until May 9. The highlight is the century-old purple peony from Luoyang, Henan Province.
Rape Flower Festival
Zhuanghang Town, Fengxian District
People can enjoy fresh air and brilliant yellow rapeseed flowers during the festival. You can sample country cooking and participate in a range of activities that attract hikers and photographers.
