Medical trips to Taiwan pushed

Chinese mainland tourists are encouraged to go to Taiwan for "medical trips," Taiwan trade authorities said yesterday in Shanghai.
Some 22 beauty clinics and hospitals have opened to mainland tourists to provide plastic surgery or physical examinations. Taiwan trade authorities said with the opening up of individual travel to the mainland, tourists are expected to "go deep" to enjoy the scenery, culture and service in Taiwan.
