Mercury to rise over weekend

THE weather is expected to be warmer over the weekend with temperature rising to 20 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Some shower is expected on Monday, which is expected to push the temperatures down slightly. Local weather bureau said the rising of temperature  hints at the coming of spring.

Cold front left the city yesterday as  warm air made its way back. While the morning today will be a low of 4 degrees, the mercury will climb to 15 degrees later in the day.

The high will soar to 18 degrees tomorrow and increase to 20 on Sunday.

Lows on the weekend will fluctuate between 7 and 9 degrees.

As meteorological spring requires average temperatures to remain above 10 degrees for five consecutive days, it’s very likely that official spring will be declared in the coming days.
