A SIGNAL failure on Metro Line 8 caused a 30-minute delay during the rush hour yesterday morning. Trains in both directions on the line were delayed from 9:24am to 10am when the automatic signaling system broke down, Shanghai Metro Operation Co said.
Operators had to activate a manual system which caused longer intervals between the trains. Cause of the accident is still under investigation.
