Metro rider feels sick, pulls emergency handle
A passenger pulled an emergency handle on an overcrowded train running on Metro Line 3 during the rush hour this morning and was taken away by police, Metro officials said.
The man said he felt sick before pulling the handle and jumping from the opened door around 8am when the train was traveling from Dongbaoxing Road Station to Baoshan Road Station in Yangpu District.
The man, whose identity not disclosed, then walked along the track back to Dongbaoxing Road Station, according to a report on www.eastday.com.
His act caused a chaos on Metro Line 3, one of the busiest urban rails in the city, for about 10 minutes.
Metro police are now questioning the man and may punish him according to regulations.
