New look for airport gate

CHANGNING District will give the Hongqiao Airport arched gate a new look as part of a district facelift.
The design of the new-look gate will take into account its appearance by day and by night, Shanghai Evening Post reported today.
The district will also erect bilingual signs in Hongqiao and Gubei to better serve expats.
And the Shanghai Zoo gate and green belts on Yan'an West Road will be renovated.
A French-style pedestrian mall in Gubei will also be upgraded.
