New parking fees announced

Shanghai has adjusted the parking fee within the city’s Outer Ring Road.
Vehicles will be charged 15 yuan (US$2.48) for an hour for parking in downtown areas, and 10 yuan for every extra 30 minutes. For other areas within the Inner Ring Road, the parking fee will be 10 yuan for the first hour and 6 yuan for every 30 minutes after that. Drivers parking between the inner and outer ring roads, will have to shell out 7 yuan for the first hour and 4 yuan for the following 30 minutes. Parking fees in downtown areas ranged from 10 yuan to 15 yuan an hour before the adjustment.
