New rush-hour trains
EIGHT-CARRIAGE trains will be added to the existing four-carriage fleet running between East Xujing and Tangzhen stations on Metro Line 2 during the evening rush hour starting tomorrow, the city’s Metro operator said yesterday. The measure is expected relieve traffic pressure on Guanglan Road Station. The regular eight-carriage trains previously only ran between East Xujing and Guanglan Road during evening rush hour, and passengers had to transfer to four-carriage trains at Guanglan Road Station.
