New visa, residence permit counters
TWO new exit-entry document processing counters open in police stations of Zhabei and Minhang districts on Monday, where expats can apply for visas and residence permits.
They join eight other designated counters issuing documents to expats — four in the Pudong New Area and one each in Huangpu, Changning, Putuo and Jiading districts.
These 10 counters are open from Monday to Saturday, said police.
And following a bug being fixed, expats can go online to fill in their applications for exit-entry documents and make an appointment to come to the office, an exit-entry official said.
Meanwhile, a lost-and-found online platform, officially launched last month on the Shanghai police website www.police.sh.cn, has seen details of 612 lost items posted and 126 items returned.
